The 2007 Tony Award winning musical, Spring Awakening (book and lyrics by Steven Sater, music

by Duncan Sheik, and based on the play be Frank Wedekind), is a musical that combines the earnest expression of rock

music with the innocence of the 19th century. Spring Awakening explores what it means to exist as an adolescent caught between

the past of childhood, and the impending future of becoming an adult. Overcome by urges they don't understand, the boys and girls

turn to each other to find answers to the questions that their parents and teachers ignore.

With songs like Totally F***ed, The Bitch of Living and Touch Me, this isn't your standard show tune musical.

A ten piece rock-orchestra and controversial themes make for a phenomenal show.
